Prize Fight
When an uncompromising writer wants to refuse a distinguished award, their silver-tongued agent must convince them to choose prestige over principle. A scrappy, comic battle of ideals and idolatry.
Reviews for Prize Fight
Prize Fight
Harbor Stage Company
In Prize Fight, the performances of Bloodworth (a Harbor Stage vet) and Steinmetz (making her company debut) are superlatively precise and thoroughly engaging. Their timing is near perfect, and every bit of humor in the piece hits its mark. Their emotions are expertly modulated. Fielding’s direction is velvety smooth, and the lighting by John R. Malinowski and scenic and sound design by Joe Kenehan are sharp and flawless.
Prize Fight
Harbor Stage Company
Featuring a playful incorporation of song and dance, audience participation in its most ideal form, and dry humor, this play is a must-see that forces you to consider the art world in a whole new way.
Prize Fight
Harbor Stage Company
The Harbor Stage Company has done it again with an absolutely flawless production and inspired performances. Withers’s new play touches a lot of truths that are no longer confined to creative workers. No matter your connection to the artistic world, the arguments will ring true… and their nuances will keep you thinking long after the curtains fall.
