The energy remained high throughout, with little downtime between songs. In addition to the upbeat hits, there were a few suitable for the awkward eighth-grade slow dance, including “Don’t Dream It’s Over” by Crowded House and “Smooth Operator” by Sade. The night was joyous. People did dance, some at the back of the theater, others from the comfort of their seats.
