Patience 2024
*Patience; or, Bunthorne's Bride* is a comic opera by W. S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan that satirizes Victorian era fads, vanity, and hypocrisy. The opera is set in Victorian times and follows Patience, a village milkmaid who is courted by multiple men, including a young Duke and her childhood friend Archibald Grosvenor. The opera also features Reginald Bunthorne, an aesthetic poet who affects period dress and composes poetry for Patience. The opera's plot backfires when Grosvenor reveals himself to be an ordinary man, and Patience realizes that she can marry him without being selfish.

Reviews for Patience 2024
Patience 2024
College Light Opera Company
It’s an incredibly talented cast and hard to pick one standout. Patience, played by Susannah Hardwick, had such an incredible voice with songs including “Still brooding on their mad infatuation” and “Long Years Ago, fourteen maybe.” Thomas Valenti was side-splittingly funny as Reginald Bunthorne, who had the audience in stitches most of the night; Nathan Tilton was a great “idyllic poet” Archibald Grosvenor.
